YEAR OF THE RAT
February 7, 2008 – January 25, 2009

The Rat year is a year of plenty, bringing opportunity and good prospects. It will be marked by speculation and fluctuations in the prices of commodities and the stock market; the world economy in general will boom. Business will be on the upswing, fortunes can be made and it will be an easy time to accumulate wealth. However, this is also the time to make long-term investment plans as the bonanza the year of the Rat brings will serve to see us through the bleak years that may follow. All ventures begun at this time will be successful if one prepares well. But do not take chances or unnecessary risks: the year of the Rat is still ruled by the cold of winter and the darkness of night. Those who speculate indiscriminately and overextend themselves will come to a sad reckoning.

On the whole, this will be a happier year than most: free from explosive events and wars and with far less catastrophes than, say, the years of the Tiger or the Dragon.

Nonetheless, it will be spicy. It promises a lot of bickering, bargaining and petty arguments that will do little harm. A congenial time that will find most of us socializing and enjoying ourselves.

Hi, mga peeps!  For those about to be duped into buying Rat figures for luck next year better think again.  Yes, the Rat is the sign for next year and will be inviting much to your home.  Take note, inviting much to your home.  Ibig sabihin pati malas kasama.  That's what commercial feng shui "masters" would never tell you so that you'll take their services to remedy those you unexpectedly invited in.  What you need to put (although I don't go for this method) is the Rat's secret friend, the Ox.  Kapag Year of the Ox naman yun Rat naman ang ididisplay mo.  The friend allows good luck to enter and protects the home from bad luck.  Same applies if you are to carry it on your person.  Dapat facing the door kung display sa bahay and exposed if you are carrying it.  It should also not be made of plastic.

Hi, Sir organic.farmer.  For Dragons, the Year of the Rat is a lively year.  Ideal for pursuing business and romance (ibig sabihin your present one not get new ones).  But be very very careful in your dealings for it is forecasted that one bad deal could hurt your resources badly.

As for the Ox, dahil siya ang taga-salo ng malas ng Rat things may be a bit difficult for her.  Generally, forecasted na smooth and prosperous naman for the Ox including recognition for her achievements.  Yun nga lang, as I mentioned, siya ang taga-salo ng malas for this year kaya be understanding and help her. 

Your combination kasi ay parehong stubborn.  Kaya extra understanding and compromising to each other and things will work out nicely.  Proud and dedicated kayo sa isa't isa kaya may magandang start na and will achieve great heights kung maka-work together more.  The Dragon kasi is a strong leader while the Ox is a dedicated worker.

As for the cats catching rats okay lang yun.  In feng shui what we are dealing with ay yun tao and how he can work in harmony with nature.  Natural law naman yun cats to chase and kill rats so no problem on that end.  Mahirap kung hindi dahil ang warning for Rat year ay diseases and tricksters.  Parehong delikado kaya hayaan mo lang yun mga cats na ma-control rat population so you could worry na lang about yun latter.

Hi, Ma'am Kathy.  Sorry pero it will be a rat race indeed dahil time for opportunities nga.  Ang feng shui advise kasi on business dapat this 2007 naghahanda ka na and magsimula ka na by 2008 and save up until 2009 dahil for most 2010 will be bad (ang exception would be Tigers and Horse - di ko pa maalala kung meron pa iba).  If one thinks 2006 and 2007 was bad wait until 2010.  Feng shui is more of a warning tool so with opportunities (and opportunists) to abound by the year of the Rat dapat meron na tayong Plan B, C, D and E (kung pwede pati F, G, etc.). 

Forgot to add, Sir organic.farmer.  Water medyo conflict sa Earth element as it exhausts it kapag malakas.  Ang forecast for you would be medyo mahirap at the start but once you adapt things would work favorably for you.

Hi, Ma'am Kathy.  Wife ko more into the healing aspect as Sheeps are more in tune with such.  Me mas forte ko kasi ang feng shui.

Sir organic.farmer.  If its about feng shui, 2012 would be the year of the Water Dragon.  Kapag Dragon year kasi masyadong lively and full of dramatics.  It could be a year of boon at maari rin puro disasters.  Water requires serious adaptability.

Now, kung about the Mayan thing I would opine na this is in line rin with some predictions na babalik ang mga aliens.  I'm not closing my doors on such but am hesitant rin to accept it agad (well, kung sa work ko nakakabangga ako ng elementals which most don't believe in dapat lang maging open ako on aliens rin).  The thing is it would be useless for us to worry ourselves on this now dahil we will not accomplish anything.  Okay lang to be ready for such in case something like what they say would happen but don't let it cloud our vision.  Sinabi na nila yan noon about Third World War and Y2K but we're still alive, di ba. 

Serious astrology work na kasi ang meat of the Mayan issue and hindi ko ito forte.  Mahirap kasi ang gumawa ng astrology stuff and I just interpret the results.  Dream ko rin to learn such but no time (and dinero) yet for it.
